Good Pastors - Oasis NT Church Planting Movement

Good Pastors are good Shepherds, Elders and Leaders that follow Jesus, follow the New Testament, teach it, model it, and make new Disciple-Makers to do the exactly the same.

BAD PASTORS

Unfortunately the Church in the western world is overrun by idolatry and occult practices, and run by leaders who don’t really care about Jesus, the Truth or The Great Commission that Jesus left us with. That’s a sad fact.

Sadly most Pastors see their role as a career, or job and fit the description Jesus warned us about that they are “hirelings” in John 10:12-13. They are assigned by man, into a man-made organizational structure and attempt to coerce people by wielding that carnal organizational power. They come from Bible Colleges with degrees and earthly credentials, but often don’t know Jesus at all. Again, sad but true.

On close inspection, Churches led by these people have no supernatural power, but just the form (a hollow image)… sort of like an empty religious carcass. Paul speaks of this and warns us in 2 Timothy 3:5 “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

FALSE APOSTLES, FALSE PROPHETS AND FALSE TEACHERS

The same can be said for False Apostles, False Prophets and False Teachers today, who work within the commercialised “religious” industry speaking flattery and vain words for admiration for a paycheck, moving from one building to the next, one platform to the next.

Jesus warns about this and calls this “The Doctrine of Balaam”… prophesying falsely for financial reward and leading people into grave sin and error. Keep reading and you will be able to identify these Fake Apostles, Fake Prophets and Fake Teachers easily by WHERE they like to operate (and they also love money !)

There are no Apostles or Prophets who are constructing Church buildings or denominations. They never have been, never was and never will be. It’s easy to spot these fake Apostles and Prophets as they are chasing money, building crowds, constructing buildings, not making disciples… none of which exist as New Testament patterns. These are what we call anti-patterns.

Jesus and his disciples never built one building. They built people and communities of believers across cities, regions and countries.

True Apostles, Prophets and Teachers intimately understand, build and operate New Testament House Churches and House Church Networks which are the only New Testament pattern of assembly from ACTS to REVELATION. These people are only found in House Churches and House Church Networks. They don’t exist anywhere else. Why would they operate in carnality, occult practices or endorse destructive teachings if they were the real thing ? You can always test their fruit, by checking the quality of their disciples. Easy.

Not only that, those early Church gatherings described in the NT had SPECIFIC characteristics supported by the Apostles, Prophets and Teachers which included: All participate, All teach, All pastor, All do ministry.. and these meetings were not normally open to unbelievers. Evangelism occurred outside the home, and was performed in the marketplace (“Go into all the world”).

PERVERTED RELIGIOUS LEADERS

The whole Chapter of Matthew 23 is about these fake religious leaders. Let’s look at few few keys verses that Jesus said of them..

Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Matthew 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

Matthew 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

We can also get a description of these leaders from the Book of Jude… with the key statement being “without fruit”… this means they are unable to produce Jesus Disciple-Makers. They are barren. They can only produce more religious bigots.

HUMAN TRADITIONS

Jesus and the Apostles warn us repeated of the vanity and the powerlessness of human traditions.

Jesus says in Mark 7:9 “And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.”

Again Jesus says in Mark 7:13 “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.”

Paul also warns us in Colossian 2:8 “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”

The fact is that, when someone gets “saved” they tend to automatically follow the traditions of the group who introduced them to Jesus. This is almost automatic, without challenge or without question.

However it takes time and maturity to continue to read scripture and follow Jesus, and it becomes natural to “outgrow” Churches or movements that become stale, and camp on old methods, customs and traditions instead of the pure, liberating and “alive” Word. Genuine believers also quickly outgrow Churches that focus on falsehood and religious bondage.

Repent and Follow Jesus

Here are the marks of a Good Pastor. Show them this list. If they don’t agree, then run for your life because they actually are workers of darkness and work for Satan.

Here are several things Good Pastors will do, to convert their pagan and occult driven church to a New Testament Church.

A. REPENT – Firstly they will repent. Jesus instructs us all to REPENT in Revelation from pagan and occult practices in the Church.

B. REMOVE – Then, they will remove all idolatry, woke-ism (sexual perversion), and occult practices from their Churches.

C. RESTRUCTURE – Then they will restructure the Church to align with the New Testament methods and practices of gathering, fellowshipping and equipping and follow the Apostolic patterns which are:

Read the Bible Together – Read the Bible together as a community, and study the New Testament in detail, feeding on Truth.

2. Recognize the Priesthood – Respect the Priesthood of Every believer, and not pervert that.

3. Remove the Clergy – Destroy the Elite/Professional Clergy and Laity divide which is witchcraft. Remove it.

4. Remove the Senior Pastor Role – Destroy and delete the false “Senior Pastor” role which does not exist in the New Testament, and work towards implementing a plurality of mature believers as Elders, which is the only NT leadership pattern. In meetings all are equal before the Lord. Godly Leaders demonstrate humility and submission to the Lord and don’t “segregate” themselves away in some non-accountable vacuum.

5. Validate Each Believer – Check and ensure all believers are “actually” believers as most Churches have a random crowd attending meetings, potentially including witches and warlocks (who bring blasphemy, chaos and division). Ensure each one understands the Gospel, is repentant, is water baptised as an adult and is also Baptised in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking tongues. Keep unbelievers away from the Home Gatherings until they are fully converted, and never let reprobates intside.

6. Equipping the Saints – Empower, train and release EACH believer to perform ALL the works of the ministry of Jesus including Disciple-Making, Evangelising, Pastoring, Prophesying, Praying, Teaching and Church Planting. This is the mission of Jesus. No exceptions. There are the mature and immature… but ALL are called… and ALL are to be trained.

7. House Church Network – Move believer meetings into Homes where they started just like the NT, and where the Church will always remain until the end of time. The networks tend towards following a geographical pattern. Streets, Suburbs, Cities, States, Nations… “Geographic Focus” is also a signal of how real Apostles and Prophets think and operate, is another healthy signal how to identify the real thing.

8. House Meetings – Ensure Home meetings are for believers only, keeping evangelism and conversions outside these Home meetings. Keep it safe and clean, allowing for the Gifts to flow, and allowing for private and trusted conversations to take place.

9. Interactive Home Gatherings (inside) and Marketplace (outside) – Reformat the Church gatherings in homes for believers only (born again and spirit-filled), encouraging all participate, eat together, read scripture together, pray together, teach each other, take communion together (the John 6 covenant meal), be of “like-mind”, contribute and share generously, THEN to go out and do the ministry work in the marketplace where they operate (preferably in teams).

IN CONCLUSION

This is a tough list of changes for religious leaders who are embedded in tradition, religiosity, occult practices and denominationalism. Pastors may need to go get a job and leave the salaried position to be able to freely make the changes needed to geuinely follow Jesus.

As in Jesus’ day, most religious leaders will fail and most religious leaders will refuse to repent, and in fact, most will be hostile to the Words of Jesus and hostile to any serious followers of Jesus, including this message.

Having said all that, it is conceivable that some Pastors will be courageous, repent and change. Sadly, the brave ones may be thrown out of their satan-led organisations for doing so, but Jesus will reward them for being obedient.

Bravo to them ! They will be “Good Pastors”.
